I’m attending at the IEEE IoT world forum at the University of Milan. The narrative around IoT is quite intense and I find it quite fascinating to hear the thoughts of some of the brightest academic minds on the current and future developments of this field.
I’ve got 2 papers to present at this conference and it’s also a great opportunity to meet up with old colleagues from Bristol uni.
Based on the conversations I’ve had so far, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is one of the hottest topics for the attendees here. Given the massive volume of data generated by vehicles as a result of processing a vast number of sensor readings and the need to communicate those results with nearby vehicles (V2V communications), the focus on edge-processing and security will be significant.
